Location: California

Sofware: Revit, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD

This project was a study of Richard Neutra's style of home that was popularized in the 1920's and 30's. This style was known as the "International Style". For this project, we were encouraged to use major walls on only two axes' as it was one of the major features of the style. For this design, an outdoor deck, a small bar, a pool and a hot tub was included as a means to entertain guests as many of Neutra's clients liked to host large parties. Because of these large parties, the private bedrooms are separated by a long hallway from the more public spaces of the home. The large stone wall in the front of the house is meant to provide privacy to the occupants of the home from the street while the other side of the home is mainly glass to take advantage of the view of the ocean. These large floor to ceiling glass walls were another feature of of the International Style of Richard Neutra.
